The Fall Issue of The Public Manager has a featured article co-authored by CGRI Chairman Frank A. Weil.  "Who's Afraid of Central Park? Modelling Collaborative Governance" explores the groundbreaking resurrection of New York's Central Park from a dirty, dangerous wasteland to a sparkling jewel enjoyed by millions, the result of an innovative implementation of collaborative governance.

With the recent establishment of a Collaborative Governance Council, Minnesota is working to make its number of education headaches far less than its number of lakes. S.F. No. 2511, effective June 1, 2010, establishes a nine member council dedicated to easing collaboration challenges between schools and the government which are associated with early childhood through 12th  grade education policy, flow of information, and distribution of funds.

Representatives of academia, business and philanthropy gathered at Harvard's Kennedy School Wednesday for a panel discussion on collaborative governance.  The event drew 40 people to the renovated Weil Town Hall for a preview of a forthcoming book by Richard Zeckhauser and John Donahue, "Collaborative Governance: Private Roles for Public Goals" (Princeton University Press), and a rich conversation on the potential of colgov.
